Mth 478 Mathematical Control Theory II

Mathematical foundations of linear time invariant control systems. Controllability, observability, stabilizability, feedback. Elements of the calculus of variations and optimal control. Dynamic programming. Pontryagin maximum principle. Applications. This is the second course in a sequence of two: Mth 477 and Mth 478. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Mth 578 and may be taken only once for credit.
