Geog 453 Japan

The course focuses on the major geographical factors underlying Japan's rise to industrial and economic greatness in the present day. The main emphasis is upon the rise and development of cities and industry, the agricultural characteristics of Japan, and its contemporary trade relationship with the Pacific Northwest. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Geog 553 and may be taken only once for credit.
