G 561 Environmental Geology

Study of natural hazards and related land use planning (flooding, landslides, earthquakes, volcanic, coastal) waste disposal and pollution in the geological environment, water supply, mineral and energy resources, environmental law related to geology, medical geology, climatic change. Two 75-minute lectures and one 2-hour laboratory. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as G 461 and may be taken only once for credit.
