Ec 426 Economics of Regulation

Study of government regulation designed to control-or at least to influence-the performance of the market in specific ways. Historical and economic analyses of three main forms of regulation: direct regulation of monopoly and competition, and social regulation to protect the environment and the individual. Also offered for graduate credit as Ec 526 and may be taken only once for credit. Expected preparation: Ec 201.
