Generally it provides the right to nonrelease of confidential information except as directed by the student, or as provided by law; the right to inspect educational records maintained by the University; the right to correction of errors, a hearing if necessary, and the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education. Copies of the full Student Records Policy are available from the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of the Registrar or online at www.pdx.edu/registration/student-records-privacy.

Documents Submitted to the University

All documents, including transcripts, submitted to PSU become the property of the University and are not duplicated or returned to a student.

Release of student information

The privacy policies do not permit the University to discuss a student’s educational information with anyone other than the student. All inquiries must originate with the student.
